HI Lori, well I have good news for you and bad news for you. Glucophage doesnt always restore periods even though it helps with some hormonal imbalances and brings your insulin level down.I have not a had a period on my own yet and have been taking 2550mg of regular glucophage.although I have lost 25lbs and feel great!I also take provera to induce periods every 30 days or so. The good news is that they have found glucophage to work very well in combination with clomid to help PCOS woman get pregnant! So dont dispare!I took 125mg of clomid this mont along with my glucophage and I had a 17mm follicle growing at my ultrasound appointment,I ovulated monday. Now its just a waiting game to see if I get pregnant. All the best luck to you,Dona
