To those who wrote the messages below, THANK YOU! I have been so upset the past few months about my hair, it makes me feel good to know that I'm not the only woman in a panic about being bald. Grrrr. If anyone comes up with a good solution to this awful problem, LET ME KNOW!

Cheers! M

I don't want to end up like those men who start their part just above the ear and comb it over to the other side. Imagine how they look when they take a shower, or get a haircut? I'm sorry, I have to make light of the situation or I'll be depressed. It's either laugh myself to tears or cry, and nobody enjoys a cry baby. =) Thanks again!!! Always---- Christie

I was getting my hair cut when a lady walked in to show the cosmo that her hair was growing back in. It seems she had been losing it in handfuls and it was very brittle and dull, only to find out she had low thyroid function. Once she was placed on medication to help that, her hair started to regrow.

He says yes now, but lets see if he changes his mind when he starts waking up next to Kojak!! ; ) (spelling?) I went to school for cosmo, too and my partner used to HATE having to do a "perm" or comb out on me because I had sooo much hair. I used to have my hair thinned, too, so that I could get a little lift in the crown area. If only we had known..... I have to tell you that I've been using Rogaine for the past two weeks with no more hair loss than "normal". The only thing it does is leave my skin itchy and dry, which I can deal with if my hair is going to come back. I hate the fact that once you stop using Rogaine you start to lose your hair again, and as much as it costs a box it's not something I want to be on for the rest of my life. (I get it whole sale at a professional shop, but it's still expensive) Please e-mail
> me personally if you want to chat since we have so much in common. : ) It's nice to talk to someone who knows EXACTLY what you're going through. Friends and family are great, but once in a while they look at you like a three-eyed monster when you try to confide. All the best---- Christie

I can even recall a few years ago, my cosmotologist saying you'll never go bald!". I get so upset when I sweep my kitchen and bathr om because half of my hair is on the floor. Every time I wash my hair my heart plummets with each handful of that comes out. When I go out in pub ic I think that everyone is staring at my "bald spot" and become very se f-conscious. As for the rest of my body.... let's just say that if I cou d transplant the hair from there onto my head I could do an "herbal" sha poo commercial in a heartbeat!! LOL! There is hope though. While I reali e that medication has a different effect on each of us, my friend is on piro and has new hair sprouting all over her head. (especially at the ha r line) 200 mg does sound like a lot because my friend's dermotologist l wered her dosage from 100 to 50 mg. Sor!
