Re: Metformin anyone?

Has anyone had side effects due to taking Metforming? My Dr. put me on it last week, as well as spironolactone, and although I have regular menses, normal androgen levels as well as passing a chem panel with flying colors, she has put me on these drugs. I have had extreme muscle cramping, aka lactic acidosis, abdominal pain, nausea, bad headaches on these drugs, but even after letting her know of these side effects, she doesn't want to take me off the drugs. Anyone have any ideas?
