I don't think you're jumping the gun at all. But purely based on my personal opinion, I do not think you should take it while breastfeeding. It's too big a risk. Spiro affects the testosterone in your cells affecting hair and skin etc. Therefore it seems logical it would be in your breast milk. I don't think it would be safe for a baby at all. Maybe you should consider only breastfeeding for a short time like six weeks or so and then go back on spiro. A lot of women also face this issue when trying to go back on metformin while breastfeeding. I'd love to hear other women's experiences with this issue. It's a very difficult decision.
