I study homeopathy,and thru that,one thing that I do know,is that the colloidal silver that I am taking is not of pure form,but diluted.....basically the same concept as the homeopathic meds.\I am not disagreeing at all about what this woman went thru with turning grey,there are always risks with anything that someone takes.Her's does seem to be a rare case,as my illness is too in a way related to the use of drugs.I agree,this is some thing that really did get my attention,but am researching the products that I bought tomorrow...(my cousin is a biochemist,so hopfully he is going to see what is in this water,,lol!He won't be able to do this tomorrow,but I am giving him some of what is in the bottle,and also,since you brought this to my attention,I am also going to have him research some of my homeopatic meds.My cousin totally disagreess with me and my holistic approach to treating illness.I sent him the site and he was,surprising very interested in it,so that is good for me,as usually he just poopo's me when I discuss the holistic approach to illness. In homeopathy..one takes a substance,be it an animal,trace element,poison,plant,and then is diluted.It would take me a long time to write about it and am certain that most who want to take homeopathic meds have already researched this themselves.In actuality,if one were to anyalize the actual substance,no trace of the molecule would exhist,and this I know sounds impossibe,as how can it then cure an illness?The body recognizes it as a healing substance,therefore in homeopathy-like produces like symptoms.In homeopathy,one takes the symptoms that the patient is presenting with and prescribes in homeopathic meds,the med that would have caused that illness to begin with.Say,for instance,when one is ill with a severe poisoning and is ill with stomach distress,the doctors would prescibe'Ipecac root' to induce vomiting. In homeopathy,when one is vomiting,the medicine of choice would be "ipecac root',it is always the opposite.This then would stop the vomiting. Another example is 'Nux Vomica',or "columbrina",it is the vomit nut and if taken,it is a poison and causes one to vomit and have diarreoah,if taken in homeopathic form,it will take away the nausea and the stomach distress.This was the one remedy that worked for me when I was constantly sick to my stomach,with no relief and was loosing weight,as I was unable to digest anything.HOpe this makes some sense to you,as when it comes to homeopathy,I can ramble endlessly,as usual. Here is a little description of what I study,a homeopath does not prescribe one medicine for a person's headache,another for her stomach,and another for her depression.The use of a single medicine at a time is a basic principle Off classic homeopathy.As I said,the homeopath,assumes that,although a person may have numerous physical and physchological symptoms,he or she has only one disease,an underlying suscepability.Using the one medicine right for that time in the person's life ,whetherr the condition is acute or chronic,effectively stimulates the person's natural defense system,......helps heal the current illness,and raises the general level of health...... Research has shown that that hospital patients recieve an average of nine medicines.The side effects of individual drugs are often starting,but the unknown,synergistic effects of numerous medicines given together to an already disordered physiology may be frightening as it was to me. Mixtures of homeopath meds,also known as "combination remedies",often are sold for specific symptoms or conditions. I know that I went off the tracks her a little bit,but I do thank you for your research with the silver,as it did give me quite scare when I read her story. vitamin A can turn the skin orange/yellow and can also become toxic-I will go and find the web about the woman on high levels of vitamin A and what harmful effects it has had on her system.She is suing the vitamin company now. I truly do believe though some may disagree,that there are always going to be a certain somebody that has a strange story to post about some medication that they were previously taking,as I myself had done.I do believe though,that her story was true. I thank you for the web that you posted,and am going to research this a little further. With my darn luck,I will probably turn silver!lol! Please wish me luck....and don't try anything that you are not comforable with.Use instincts and see if actually you feel different on a specific treatment.Your body will let you know. I do find that I have a metallic taste in my mouth after ingesting the silver,so this was very infomative for me. Once again,it is so nice to be able to share stories with one another,and as women,we are looking out for one another,possibly preventing someone out there,not to take something that someone else said was working for them,as I did.I should refrain from suggesting this with all on this group,as my cousin suggested to me.He says that sometimes sites like these should be more for support,rather than discussing the doses of meds and telling each other about meds,as we,ourselves are not qualified to do so,and with some misleading information,that can have a negative impact on one's current health conditions. For that,I am sorry!His approach is totally for the doctors's method of prescibing and says it shoud not be discussed with others.I tend to disagree with him though,as I have found alot of great information on meds.Again,I am not familiar with conventional meds at all,but quite well read when it comes to an holistic approach.More and more doctors here are actually suggesting the use of herbs and vitamins and no one should start the use of something without first consulting with a specialist in that field.Yes,some can be quacks,I am certain. You may just have saved me from turning grey! God bless you for this,....but really,I have been feeling alot better. HAHA,next week I will probably be writing and crying that I am turning grey,as I am really chuglugging that colloidal silver-water down.Yikes!I think I just might stop it till I talk to my homeopathic doc a bit more.
