Spironolactone QuestionFrom: Sue (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 11 Jan 2002 09:41:55 -0600 (CST)
Hi Ladies-- My question is probably jumping the gun a bit, but I'll ask it anyway. I'm currently 37.5 weeks pg and waiting to deliver any day now. Prior to becoming pg, I was on 200 mg spiro for hair loss/facial hair growth and having good success with it. For obvious reasons, it was d/c-d upon pgy. I went to rxlist.com to see what the indications were for the drug during nursing, and it's pretty vague. I won't see my RE for probably 2 or 3 mos. after I deliver, but I don't want to get too far behind in my therapy. Has anyone had any problems taking spiro and nursing at the same time? If you have taken it, what has your RE said about the whole thing? My RE is pretty progressive--he will take risks and be agressive if the pt is willing to do the same.
