I am 36 years old and have had a ruptured cyst[and right ovary and tube] removed when I was 21. Further surgery to remove cysts and unfortunately ovarian tissue when 24. I've always had regular periods and BMI is at the upper end of normal but diffiocult to get any lower. I dont ovulate although I did with 6 cycles of 50mg Clomid, but no pregnancy. Have been using a nasal spray to supress hormone function since June 01 to give my ovary a rest and hopefully settle existing 10mm cysts. Finally had 30-40 ml of fluid aspirated from cysts in Sept 01. Next step being suggested is IVF which start with injections next week. I will try anything to have a baby, but initial resarch into PCOS and posts on this site make me wonder if I'm heading down the right path or should I be looking at other hormone therapies, I know I have PCO, But do I have PCOS? I am based in The UK and whilst I'm lucky in that cost of treatment is not an issue how do I know what the correct treatment is. Any response would be gratefully received.
