To the best of my knowledge (someone correct me if I am wrong) Yasmin is a new bcp that contains not only estrogen (estradiol??? Can't remember if that's in Yasmin) but an anti-testosterone agent. I *believe* it is cyproterone acetate. It's supposedly similar to the Diane-35 that's been available outside the US for some time.

It's a form of bcp used when the desired effect of the pill isn't birth control so much as hormone control. Like with us, or often they give it to teenage girls to control acne, whatever.
