(i ahve osteoartritis and im only 29) celebrex is also really good and the side effects didnt last as long for me. your mother really needs to go to a rheumotoid specialist to determine what is causing the pain. prednisone will only be a temporary fix. hope this helps teresa gs69me@aol.com
