Hi,

Yes it is possible to have a period every month and have pcos. Most women with PCOS have different symptoms of the disease we all show different symptoms and have different reactions not any one of us has the same characteristics of this disease. I was diagnosed at 19 with PCOS when i had surgery (tubal litigation). I had facial chin hair since i was 16 years old. I have always had a period it sometimes would be a week or so late but i always had one. I did not take treatment untill last year. I was on spiro for the facial hair for 8 months but stopped taking it 3 weeks ago due to it causing me to have severe depression the doctors wanted me to take celexa to treat the depression and i said that if the spiro is causing it why should i continue taking it. they said the choice was mine they were not concerned with the hair growth just the cysts. the spiro i felt was not working for me anyways i am now trying vaniqa cream and saw palmetto. i also took diane 35 at the same time as the spironolactone due to the spiro causeing me not to have a period at all. On monday the 17th of december went for another internal ultrasound and let me tell you I can't see the string of pearls anymore the Diane 35 has made them go away. My endo is performing a reversal of my tubal litigation and hopefully I will be pregnant by next year. He feels i will not need any fertility drugs to help me along as my cysts are not a big problem anymore. I don't like the hair but after all these years of plucking, waxing, etc. I feel i must accept to keep doing that and will never submit my body to the horror rollercoaster ride of a drug like spiro but as i said everyone reacts differently. Feel free to email any of us for any further questions we are all here to help and support each other. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
