Hi Tanya!
PCO and PCOS are two different things - having ovarian cysts (PCO) is
fairly common and is also one of the symptoms of having PCOS.
>From what you said about your symptoms and bloodwork then I would agree
that PCOS is pretty likely in your case! It is definitely possible to
have it and still have a period every month. The numbers you're looking
for in the LH/FSH is the ratio, not the numbers themselves. Healthy
women have a ratio of about 1:1. Women with PCOS have ratios closer to
1:3. So, at 2:7, your numbers do indcate a problem. Facial hair is a
big indicator as well, and you don't have to have the extreme weight
gain to have PCOS.
You will find a heap of information at http://www.pcosupport.org - I would
definitely suggest going there and reading up etc. Best of luck with
everything!
