A brief story: I was diagnosed with PCOS and IR in June of 2000. (Please note I had been trying to have a baby for 6 years and the drs couldn't figure out was wrong) The RE that I went to see immediately put me on METFORMIN. In August of 2000, we tried using clomid, that was like taking water. In Sept. we went to the injections. It was a long process, my cycle lasted 3 weeks. We used Provera to kick in a period (I don't get my periods due to the PCOS & IR) we started the injections and three weekss later I had two eggs big enough. I took the HCG shot that night and had two inseminations in a row for the next two days. On on Oct 11 I found out I was pregnant. Brendon was born on May 17th. 4 weeks early. He is a happy 7 mth old boy.

Well, we have decided to try the process again when Brendon turns a year. I got one period after Brendon was born, which was in July. About two weeks okay I thoughjt I had the flu so I went to a walk in clinic, they automatic do a pregnancy test since I don't get my periods. Well Low and behold it was positive. I was freaking out. I went home called my dr. he had me do a blood test that came back positive and then I had an u/s the same day. I was 6 weeks 4 days with a strong heartbeat.

This is the best miracle. I am now 8 weeks 4 days. My progesterone levels where very low at first so they put me on progesterone right away and it bought it right up. Of course this is a little sooner than planned and we thought we would have to go through the injections and inseminations again. But this is unavailable. I will cherish this miracle forever.

So Ladies there is hope out there. Feel free to email me at faussetja@aol.com if you want to ask any questions.
