Dpreston,
I have been on Glucophage XR for pcos since May of this year and it has
been working great for me. In fact, not only have I not gained any
weight I have lost 40 lbs. (was 235, now 195). This is in conjunction
with exercise and diet (Jenny Craig). I swear the medication is really
makeing the difference. I was on regular glucophage two years ago and I
had lots of stomach/digestive side effects. I think the extended
release reduces the side effects. I am taking 2000 mg per day two 500mg
tablets twice a day. I have been ovulating normally since taking the
med.
