PCOS and trying to conceive w/GlucophageFrom: Aimee (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 12 Dec 2001 19:10:11 -0600 (CST)
I'm 24 years old and have been diagnosed with PCOS since I was 19. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since last October. My gyn here put me on chlomid and provera (since I do not menstrate on my own; I had been on birth control pills since 16 in order to menstrate) to avail. She started me on Glucophage last month, but I was wondering since I don't menstrate is it possible I can still get pregnant? Also, since I really wouldn't know if I got pregnant (since most normal women know by missing a period) while on Glucophage should I still risk it taking Provera once a month? I haven't taken Provera since right before I started taking Glucophage at the beginning of November and figured since I don't want to harm/loss the baby, if by chance I do conceive and don't realize it, by taking the Provera. Please advise.
