Weight training is great for reducing insulin resistance, because your muscle mass increases, providing more insulin receptors so the glucose (carbs) utilization improves. Also, it increases your resting metabolic rate so you will burn more calories. I think that both cardio/weight training along with low glycemic diet (complex carbs) is the way to manage PCOS/insulin resistance.
