Re: Conceived twice...Why can't I get pregnant again? Will I ever? (long)From: Sue (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 11 Dec 2001 08:32:27 -0600 (CST)
>1. I have MTHFR and Antiphospholipid antibodies that cause the blood to clot during pregnancy...< Lori-- what are you doing for your Antiphospholipid antibody condition? I too have it and my RE told me to take a baby aspirin daily to combat it. It is safe during pgy--there is a study out of Britain that shows no adverse affects on the baby at birth when aspirin b/tw 50-100 mg (baby aspirin ins 81 mg) is ingested throughout pgy, and that it also might be useful in combatting pre-eclampsia. If you're not already doing this, talk to your specialist. I'm now in W33 of my pgy and have had no problems related to the antiphospholipid antibody condition.
