Hi again Barbra!

I'm so sorry to hear that you've struggled so much with discomfort and everything else for so long. Those symptoms could be stemming from something to do with your PCOS, but they're not symptoms that are common I think, I've never heard of them here. I say, start treating what you KNOW is off kilter (like treating the PCOS and so on) and maybe the problems will resolve themselves. If not, then you at least have a clearer picture of what you should be fighting. I am sorry you've had so much trouble finding a doctor!

I also don't know anything about a relation between high DHEAS and stroke. I know that IR can lead to heart disease / athlerosclerosis, but that seems different enough that I don't think that's what they're talking about.

Don't worry at all about the anti-depressant thing! I knew what you were trying to say. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience on them and I think it's great that you tried to keep other women from that! Like I said though, I think it's worth presenting both sides and letting women just make their own decisions about what's going to work for them, or what they need.

I'm sorry I don't have more info for you. Check the Women's Health forum here at OBGYN.net - they have physicians frequenting their lists that might have answers for you!
