Spiro and hair to Tera

Hi Tera! Thanks for your reply and for others who have responded, too! I will try to answer your questions, Tera. I have been taking 200 mg of Spiro for about 3 months. So far it has not helped, that I can tell, but it takes time. My hair loss has been all over, but when I was examined by an endocrinologist, he said he could see some slight hair recession at the hairline. My hair mostly just looks very thin now, but I sure wouldn't want to lose any more. I am also taking Ortho-Tricyclen, Wellbutrin, Valium, and various supplements, some of which you mentioned (but not saw palmetto). I have asked doctors if the bcp or other meds I am on or have been on are contributing to hair loss, and they have said there's a small chance, but not likely. I also am a vegan and have a lot of constant anxiety, so those are other possible factors, but because of the male pattern hair loss, it seems to be mostly related to pcos. The body hair I have is way out of control. My doc said it was the worst he has seen, even among those with pcos. (That made me feel just wonderful! Ha!) I am hoping the Spiro will help for that. I have been getting electrolysis done for a couple of years. It has helped a lot with facial hair, but has taken a long time. I am also on Vaniqua, but it is too soon to tell if that is helping yet, either. I wish you the best. Thanks again for your helpful info! jen
