I could not disagree more with this post, just as an fyi so you have the
other side of it as well.
Because PCOS so affects all of our hormones, it would be logical that it
affects seratonin levels. Particularly since so many women complain of
symptoms related to seratonin problems like depression, anxiety attacks,
insomnia, fatigue, etc. The SSRI drugs correct the imbalance.
I have asked a LOT of women with PCOS over the years about this and
*ALL* of them so far have been very pleased with the positive changes in
their lives thanks to finally treating their depression.
Depression is definitely a symptom of this syndrome, and one that so
impacts our quality of life, that it deserves treatment.
