Actually, I'm not on a high carb diet right now. At the moment I'm not on any kind of diet. The statement that I had made was that the high carb diet was the only thing I had ever found to be anywhere even remotely successful for me. And that was before I had my stomach stapled. (Believe me, I tried a lot of diet programs before I resorted to the drastic step of having my body surgically altered. Low carb diets at that time usually had the effect of making me feel very, very ill, and having massive food cravings.)

I don't feel hungry all the time. I often have to remind myself to eat. However, even with a usable stomach the size of a tablespoon, and eating a very minimal amount of food, I maintain a very high weight.

As far as the insulin sensitizers, I will have to check with my doctor. I got the impression, after seeing him twice, that the problem was hormonally based.
