Re: thanks kimberly & sonnetFrom: Lisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 16 Nov 2001 23:33:35 -0600 (CST)
Hi Liz, Well, there isn't any bad side effects, like met, i'm glad to say. I couldn't take the side effects from that. I was hoping it would finally help a little with weight loss. But it does say you can have a slight weight gain of 5 lbs. I don't believe i did, but i'm having a very hard time loosing weight. It has regulated my periods. I had been on spirolacontone for a while, but had trouble with having my period every 2 weeks, when i started on Avandia, the irregular bleeding stopped. My doctor says my hormones are looking alot better, and that i'm ovulating, which is a side effect of avandia. so i guess i can't complain. One down fall of this drug, is that it is very expensive. and it isn't covered under pharma care. You are from Canada too? Hope i helped a bit. If you have anymore questions, i'll try and help.
