It takes a long time in the US too. That's a big complaint from the AIDS and cancer groups--they die before the drugs get to market.
Personally, I hated Yasmin. I tried it for two months. I got very moody, broke out, and had a hard time with my sugar/insulin balance. As soon as i stopped yasmin and started my old pill again, I felt like myself again. I'd forgotten how calm and placid and stable I used to feel.
