HI Lori, not everyone will automatically have a period with metformin.Sometimes it takes several months even up to a year to see any changes like that.for me it took 2 months,for others sometimes 6 months.Be patient and try to give it time to work for you.What dosage are you on? maybe it needs to be increased.You should talk to your doctor about your conserns. Your doctor can also give you an RX for provera or Pormetrium to induce your period. Sometimes that is enough to kick start you!Dona
