Hi All,

I entered this discussion somewhat unintentionally, but what's done is done. All three stimulants (caffeine, theophylline and theobromine) belong to the family of xanthines. So I checked the chemical formulae too: c. is tri, thp and thb arre bimethyl xanthines. Also from the structural formula it is obvious that there is no room for a 4th radical (methyl or other group). Thereforre I doubt if tetramethylxanthine does exist. Please provide me more (and more accdurate) info on this. My doubt is even stronger, because these types of sites tend to provide obscure and unproven info. Looking forward to it.

Sam
