Hi Ashly A luteal phase 11 days long is called short luteal phase and would preclude pregnancy in most cases as the fertilized egg nestles in the endometrium 7 d pov and is not firmly enough attached to the uterine linijng by d 11 pov, so it is "washed out" by the menstrual flow. The usual thing is to take natural progesterone, but in my practice I hace achieved much better result with prescribing tamoxiphen for days 5-9 or 3-7 of the cycle. This supports ovarian function (may even cause multiple ovulations like clomid) and helps to sustain the endometrium severaol days longer. For your info Sam (Ob/Gyn,RE)
