Sally-- you are right that gallbladder attacks do cause a lack of appetite, but they do not occur w/o severe pain. If the lack of appetite is accompanied by pain in the upper right quadrant, get to a dr quickly and see what is going on. I'm dealing with this now (the damage was done to my gallbladder from years of elevated estrogen levels, mostly thanks to BCPs), and the pain is quite extensive.
