HI Angel, I was on Actos,I started taking it when I first found out I had PCOS.I choose it over metformin because I was scared about all the GI problems assciated with metformin.I took Actos to get pregnant..I did in fact become pregnant but I m/c at 22 weeks. I switched to metformin because it reduces the incidence of m/c and is safer to take while pregnant.Weight loss was never my goal I am TTC.I didn't diet and exersize so you might have different results if you do.For some reason that 15 punds was gained in the first couple of weeks taking it and it kind of scared me.So thats when I started to low carb but I didn't exersize. On the Actos Rx info sheet that the pharmacy gave me it did list weight gain as a possible side effect you may not get this side effect.Actos is very good at lowering insulin and getting your overies to work again,I am proof of that. If I don't get the same results with Metformin I will probably go back to Actos because it has no other side effects for me.Dona >
