New Question for Dr. SamFrom: ANGEL (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 7 Nov 2001 05:59:17 -0600 (CST)
do you happen to know the percentage of people who gain on Actos or Avandia vs. the people who lose weight in conjuction with diet and exercise? Also, once you get your insulin down (like I have) Is it possible for someone with IR/PCOS to keep your insulin at bay w/diet & exercise without any meds?? or alternative. I'm curious for your opinion and if you have had any patients who have worked at getting their insulin down & went off meds, etc..... I would love to stay off meds (i'm not on any for 1 wk and, so far, so good. I know I will have to ALWAYS watch my diet and exercise - probably for the rest of my life - Have you ever known a patient to reverse this? I've heard its possible.
