I've been on Glucophage for about 3 weeks now. I've had the nasty stomach and loss of appetite but have not lost a pound. I'm not sure what the deal is. The DR> said I would adjust to the meds but I'm still having bad stomach problems at least a few hours a day. I've heard the same as you that the weight loss comes from reducing the insulin resistance. I think most lose at least a little from the side effects and the lucky few lose from the insulin balance. You sound to be one of the lucky few.
