Muriel.
The reasons for good diet and exercise go far beyond weight loss. In
fact, one might say that weight loss is only a "side effect" of good
diet and exercise. A healthy body that's treated well should reach and
maintain a healthy weight. Of course, you're only 21, so this might not
mean anything to you yet. Maybe in a few years, you'll start to think
more about heart disease, cancer and other things that can be in part
prevented through lifestyle choices. I hope it doesn't take that long
for you.
