Re: side effect of Glucophage? to uangel199From: angel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 3 Nov 2001 05:36:09 -0600 (CST)
i eat very healthy - w/snacks - no processed foods, tester level is fine - i do not know all the scientifice factors, it was not frontal hair so this particular incicdent is not pco related - 1 dr said it couls me the meds n(its not fda approved for us yet - keep that in mind) when i wa sick a few months back my body was in a panic mode - it could have been that too and when i went back on the met it triggered it as a post traumitc stress incident. trust, me i have had great luck w/the met until the last year. how could anyone tell me its not the met when i stop taking it and the problem stopped IMMEDIATELy - thats the proof right there - all my test are fine dhea, etc., i am doing great otherwise - the only symptom for me is the easy gaining of wt/hard losing, but i have lostalmost 30 lbs in a year, and, my insulin got worse this time on met, who knows why...so that is why i am offfor 4-5 wks, i will try something else...all i know is that i have read many stories on the web about the hair thing happens after the wt loss...somehow, the body may be immuned to the drug in some people...if stopping the drug helped me and my problem then perhaps it can help someone else 0 there are 3 others drugs to try and alternative but exercise is truly the best in conjunction w/alternative or western meds!
