I would not like to take up the medical education of your dr, but here is some info, you can start with: The metabolic effects of BCPs were extensively investigated during the 1970s and erly 1980s. It turned out that BCPs shift the metabolism into diabetic direction, sometimes precipitating frank diabetes is some women. Most susceptible are those with pregnancy induced diabetes (which is easy to understand as BCPs produce a hormonal situation similar to pgy) and those in whose family diabetes was present. If you scan the archives you would definitely find papers to print out. For your info
