hi, yes it is safe to take Xenical with Metformin...buttt.. if you think the side affects of metformin are bad...the Xenical is much worse for some people. If you eat fat or fatty foods it will give you very severe diahrea and stomach cramps. I have read other posts from last year that said it was worse than metformin or compounded the GI the problems.You might want to look in the archives for more info. I don't remember if it was this forum or the medication forum that I had read this. Dona
