Thanks for the responds. Kimberly I do live near Indianapolis. Dawn Ayers is a endocrinologist? I will call my doctor this week and she is she will recomend that I see an endocrinologist so that insurance will cover it. Is PCOS her speciality? The most amazing thing happened to me this weekend. I was talking about an ear infection i have with one of my sorority sisters and I said that I didn't to go to our school doctor because he is so rude and that I dont' trust male doctors anymore. She asked why and I explained that I didn't get my period for a long time and my male Gyno told me that "it's ok" when really it was a sign of some bigger underlying problems (PCOS). Then my sorority sister said "no way that same thing happened to my sister, she was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrom". "No way" I said, "That is what I have". Needless to say we both broke down and started crying (he sister is her twin and is 19 too and was diagnosed the same week as i was). We talked for an hour and I called her sister to talk to her too. I was just saying how much i needed someone i could talk to about this and god gave me two! I am not a religious person but i do think that god works in mysterious ways. Much love, Danielle
