Re: side effect of Glucophage? to Sandra and LaurenFrom: Kelly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 29 Oct 2001 14:54:15 -0600 (CST)
Sandra, No it hasn't gone away and is actually getting worse. I didn't sleep well at all last night because of it. My heart pounds so hart it feels as if it's going to jump out of my chest. I'm able to control the shortness of breath because I know how to deal with it but even after taking my anxiety med the pounding doesn't go away. Today I took only 1350mg instead of the usual 1700mg. I'll let you know if it helps. The idea of breaking up the pill might be good if it's OK to do that. Some meds can't be broken up. Check on that first. Also try weight lifting instead of just treadmill. Your body continues to burn fat when you're building muscle even after you stop the workout. I had some success years ago when I went on a "10 grams of fat or less per day" diet. Maybe watch your fat and your carbs but pay more attention to fat grams. Let me know if you get into a meds trial. I want any info I can get my hands on. Sorry, don't know anything about BCPs. Later
