Hi Ann, I had Laser hair removal done last spring and summer. They used the Lyra Laser and it was done by my Dermatologist..not a tech.Make sure the person who is doing the laser is qualified to do so with proper training.I insisted that my Doctor do it.. I found out she does not let her nurses do the proceedure because they are not trained to do so.I have a high pain tolorance so it was'nt that painful to me,but others say it is...guess it depends on your tolorance.I am on metformin so regrowth hasn't been much of a problem because my hormones are starting to get under controll.I had 5 treatments dont at $675.00.I live in California were there is a lot of compition and it seems to be less costly than other areas.I have been happy with the overall results.I do still have a few stray hairs that I pluck that were missed and I plan on going back to have those zapped after the holidays. You have to remember that hair grows in cycles and some may be dormant that will appear later.Talk to your Doctor about this. I use Vaniqa now so that the stray hairs I pluck won't grow back, but as soon as you stop using the Vaniqa they reappear.remember though that if your not on meds to treat your PCOS you might not have great results with laser. It seems to work best if you are treating your PCOS.Just thought ide share at least one good experience with Laser hair removal.Good luck to you and I hope you are as happy with your results as I have been with mine.Dona
