Hi, There is really no rule as to what doseage works for PCOS because everyone is different. Some woman have reversal of symptoms and start to ovulate on 500mg were there are other woman like me who need a full 2550mg of glucophage. So try this doseage as your doctor prescribed and see if it works for you! He can always increase your dosage later if you need to.good luck,Dona
