I started on 1500 mgs. two weeks after being on the medication. I do know that muscle weighs more than fat and I also know that it is not a weight loss medication. I have been put on a PCOS diet which is no more than 4 servings of carbs a day. and they are limited in their size..I can't go over more than 25 grams per serving. I am allowed no more than 8 ounces of protein a day. Two servings of dairy is considered a carb/protein.. Only 3 servings of fruit a day, that's not a problem. But only four servings of carbs a day. So that's basically it. Dr. Glueck told me that in two weeks he will up me to 850 mgs. 3 times a day if i haven't lost anything. It is supposed to correct the insulin resistance and help facilitate weight loss. So we'll see what happens. thanks again,
