As mentioned Below, Metformin is NOT a weight loss drug is is just one
of the side effects, I used to take it with out controlling my carb
intake and actualy gained weight I did 1.5hours cardio everyday of the
week and 1 hours toning machines everday and nothing happened, I then
did a lot of research and found out about low carb eating plans been
helpfull for PCOSers so I started the Atkins diet, and have now been
following a lowcarb eating plan of no more than 25grams a day and in the
last 3 months have lost 40lbs and that was without the excessive
excersizing as my gym had closed down for 2 months....
It took me 4 months to get up to the 1500mg dose, I was on 500mg for
1.5months then 1000mg, then up to 1500mg......
