Hi Jan,
I live in Uxbridge and work in central London.
Dont listen to your doctor you must try and force them to either refer
you to another doctor or give you metformin, it is safe to take even
without having Insulin resistance. I started taking met when I weight
298lb(clinically obese as the doctors say) I started a low carb diet
while taking met (about 2-3months ago) and I now weigh around 258lbs it
is slow but excellent, if you are near me give me you email address or
mail me at persian_n@hotmail.com I will gladly share any info I have
with you, I know how frustrating it is to get no where with doctors,,,,
hang in there things will come right,,,,
Regards
Nikki
