HI PCOS MESSAGE PEOPLE! My name is Danielle and this is my first time posting here. This past summer I was diagnosed with PCOS after years of suffering. I am 19 and go to a small college in Indiana and have struggeled with my weight, harriness, depression, eating dissorders, mood swings, headaches, lack of periods, killer periods, and generally feeling crappy for years. Since being diagnosed I have been taking birth controll and spironolact. Having PCOS is hard. I am only 19 but already I am worried that I will get diabetes, cancer, heart disease or someday I won't be able to have the children i have always wanted. I live in a sorority house and have done my best to hide my weight, harriness, and balding. I haven't told any of my sorority sisters that I have PCOS but sometimes i get so frustrated. I feel like all of these skinny little girls don't understand what i go through. So basically I am glad I found this website. I hope to get my PCOS under controll but most importantly I want to help others learn about it so they too can be diagnosed early before it is too late. Has anyone every had any luck with herbs? I know PCOS is linked to depression and mood swings do any of you deal with that sorta thing? What about problems thinking, concentrating, or staying awake. Do you guys get headaches when you work out? Do you sometimes sweat too much and sometimes sweat not enough and over heat? What time of day are you most likley to crave carbs and sugar? Much love, Danielle YOUR PCOS SISTER!
