Re: fatigue and headachesFrom: angela (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 20 Oct 2001 22:01:35 -0500 (CDT)
Hi wendy, my name is angie and i have had pcos for over 10 years. I was told in 1990 and 1994 that i possibly had it but never followed up to find out for sure if i had pcos untill 1997. finally in september of 2000 due to another medical condition which funny enough people get when they do not treat a disease or syndrome they have. I finally saw an endocrinologist about 8 months ago and started spiro 50 mg 2 times a day and diane 35. I have found maybe due to the meds changing my hormones to normal from unnormal I have been depressed, have massive migraines, and am tired all the time. I think these are symtoms of pcos but i have been told that once our systems are regulated on a certain med and our bodies get used to the changes they cause these symptoms go away or lessen. With pcos our bodies were used to weird hormone levels and then we normalize or try to normalize them to proper levels by using meds something our system is not used to so it causes lots of changes. hopefully you persevere and hopefully these symptoms will lessen. I am trying really hard to overcome severe depression and i know it is very hard. I am hoping for the best for you and i hope you realize you are not alone. we all may have different severity of pcos and be on different meds but we are all emotionally going through the same shit and we don't deserve it but we have it and have to live with it. Hopefully one day someone will find a cure. I hope I helped a little and am sorry I vented but we are all in this together and venting is one step to helping each other. love angie angcbaker@home.com
