Cin - glucophage is, I believe, considered a "class B" drug. That means that they have done studies on animals that show there was no harm to the developing fetus, but they haven't yet done studies on people. All indications are that it is safe, but so far no one has done the study to PROVE that it is safe.

Glucophage dramatically reduces the risk of miscarriage. One study I read showed the rate dropping from 45% to 9% in women with PCOS.

Personally, given that, I would stay on it through my pregnancy. I know several women who have and who have had healthy babies, and I also know women who have miscarried when they've gone off it.

Congratulations to you and your daughter!
