Paula -

I don't know your exact medical situation but you might also want to try upping your dose of Metformin. Women with PCOS are usually treated starting with 1500mg/day and working up from their until their symptoms are reduced or resolved. (The maximum dose recommended by Bristol Myers Squibb, the manufacturer, is 2550mg/day.) I believe that diabetics, who take a lower dose then we do, are also started at 1000mg. It might mean better control of your hormones, insulin included, and that could lead to more frequent ovulation and a better chance at carrying your baby to term.

A recent study showed that using 1500mg Metformin and Clomid together, a full 91% of women with PCOS ovulated within 2 months! The fact that you ovulated before seems to me a strong indication that your body can do it again. TTC is such a roller coaster. I wish you luck and good health!
