Birth Control Pill Choices

For anyone wanting more information, here is a page that lists some birth control pill choices. At the top of the page are links to progesterin activity, androgen activity, and estrogen (or endrometrial) activity. Another PCOS person recommended it somewhere, and it was immensely helpful to me. Using it, I stopped taking lo-ovral (highly androgenic, something I did NOT need as a PCOS person) and switched to OrthoCyclen, which is monophasic but also has low progesterone and low androgen. If you click through and view the various birth control pill options, they will list the androgen/estrogen/progesterone for each pill. It helped me have a more informed doctor's visit and I will say I feel MUCH better on this pill, and have fewer chin hairs, in fact, they were more than half gone in one month. The jury is still out on scalp hair regrowth because I just haven't been on long enough.

You might find something that works well for you...
