I am hoping someone can provide me with some needed info here. I am originally from the US, now living in the UK and am at a loss as to what to do. My gyne here in the UK has diagnosed me with Progesterone deficiency (I guess that's what you call it) as I have had extremely heavy periods for the last few months and severe anemia. He wants to put me on progesterone tablets for the short term, eventually doing a d&c and then using the marina coil. I am 49 and have had norplant in the past, with much success. However, I am very concerned about the effects, long and short term, of the marina coil and wonder if there are other options.

I have now got to make the decision of having a Hysterectomy, the bonus which I have recieved are my 2 beautiful daughters. The first was after a DNC, the second was after taking Clomid. Can anyone help? Thanks JO
