Re: Does anyone have preg. success stories while on Actos? PLEASEFrom: Sue (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 11 Oct 2001 08:35:33 -0500 (CDT)
Ladies-- I have currently completed 24 wks of pgy and am still on Actos. My OB (high risk) and RE are kosher with me being on it, but the perinatologist has questioned its necessity. My husband and I are completely committed to staying on this, as we fear m/c (I've had 3 or 4 already)--or better phrased, stillbirth. Anything after 20 wks is no longer considered m/c but stillbirth. I had success with Actos controlling my IR (not completely at 30 mg, but enough to be comfortable), and Clomid was my mode for inducing ovulation. I'm hopeful that keeping my IR under control while pg will make a difference in my health after delivery--hopefully will make the Actos even more effective. I've heard stories that some women have a 'remission' of symptoms after pgy--I'm not that optimistic, but I am hoping for a better reaction to the medications afterward. Feel free to email me privately to discuss this further....
