Hi Sarah,

after the birth of my second child I didn't have a period for 9 years. Within 6 weeks of starting Metformin (500 mg twice a day) I had my first "normal" period. Over the last 18 months my doctor & I have been fine tuning the dose and for me 850mg twice a day works best. I now have periods (& ovulate!!) every 5 to 6 weeks. A miracle after the infertility treatment I had to go through to get pregnant in the past.
