I have not heard that starting clomid on day 5 causes ovulation on day 12. There are a lot of women here that have taken clomid starting on day 1 or day 3, because we as women with PCOS tend to ovulate later in our cycles. You want to ovulate earlier, because you get better egg quality. Is there a way that you could arrange things so that you have intercourse on day 11, or even day 10, so that if you end up ovulating on day 12, you will have a chance to get pregnant? Are these religious practices so strict that you must follow them to the letter no matter what the extenuating circumstances? Have you talked with your priest/minister/clergy member about your special circumstances?
