You have a right to an appeal, and if the insurance company won't accept your appeal, I'd go to the state board that oversees them. They are working with some dangerously outdated information. I think the procedure they are talking about is either wedge resection or ovarian drilling, both of which are surgical in nature and not recommended as a first try for most of us. Find out the appeal prodedure for your insurance, and get started right away. The longer you wait, the more the bills will pile up.
